Zoo. Stroll hand in hand through the Zoo on your way to Africa Live!, where you'll be able to meet a few animals up close, indulge in luxurious desserts and explore the mysterious, humorous and often taboo side of animal relations.
A gift your parents and family will remember forever! After a delicious hot breakfast, meet with the big cat keepers and go face-to-face with our fabulous felines in this behind-the-scenes adventure in the lion and tiger house.

Don't hesitate, this popular program fills quickly! Bring the family to a great campout experience inside the Zoo. Complete with an open fire, sleeping outside in a tent, animal encounters, and an evening Zoo tour. Join us for our NEW campout season as we look at how animals adapt and develop the skills to live comfortably in the great outdoors. We'll explore how to survive in unpredictable weather, identify animals and plants, and sharpen our powers of observation.

Cost per person: $225 per participant
Join us to work one-on-one with a professional animal keeper and find out what it really takes to do the job. You’ll provide routine cleaning and maintenance of the animal habitats, prepare and feed diets, monitor health and well-being of the animals and fill out daily reports. Areas include Mammals, Birds and Reptiles/Aquarium. Most requests can be accomodated with at least 30 days notice by calling (210) 734-7184 ext. 1501.
