Zoo-la-la tickets on sale now!

Join us for Zoo-la-la!  the 18th Annual Feast with the Beasts on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 7:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Zoo-la-la! is a night out at the Zoo for the 21 and over crowd and will feature delectable cuisine from some of the best San Antonio restaurants. Enjoy live entertainment and visit with our amazing keepers, while leisurely making your way through our unique, savory wine trail. Purchase tickets online or at the Zoo.

Kids get in FREE after 3!

Enjoy an afternoon at the Zoo after school! During May, kids 11 & under get in FREE after
3 p.m., with the purchase of an adult ticket! This offer is good Monday-Friday only, one child per adult, please. While you're here, grab an after school snack special of a small popcorn and 16 oz. fountain drink for only $3!

Zoo welcomes new arrival!

The San Antonio Zoo is excited to announce the birth of a howler monkey, born on April 13, 2013. This is the first surviving offspring for parents “Sophie” and "Inti," both arrived at the Zoo in February of 2012. Come by soon to see our newest arrival! You can find the howler monkey family located in the Amazonia section of the Zoo.

San Antonio Zoo announces Board of Directors

The following appointees to the San Antonio Zoological Society Board of Directors were unanimously approved at the April 25, 2013, meeting of the Board.

The following Board members have been re-nominated to continue serving as officers of the Board of Directors with term ending 2015: David S. Herrmann - President, Norborne P. Cole, Jr. – Treasurer
Frank Z. Ruttenberg – 1st Vice President, William A. Freed – Secretary, Chris Bathie – 2nd Vice President.

The following Board members have been re-nominated to serve a three-year term ending in 2016: Robert J. Barrera, Orvis E. Meador, III, Albert M. Biedenharn III, George P. Parker, Jr., Joe N. Haynes, Diana Plummer, Mark M. Johnson, Mark L. Thornton, M.D., Wendy H. Kowalik, Sara Stumberg Walker, Mark E. Krenger, Dolores F. Wheless, Jane H. Macon.

The following new candidates have been nominated to serve a three-year term ending 2016: Lindsay Archer, Leon McNeil, Timo Hixon, Jayme Russell, Roby Latimer, Robert Thomas, M.D., Tony Liberto, Etta Valdes, Ashley Mills.
